The Domestic Carnivore: Raw Dog & Cat Rescue existed well before its name did. It originally started out as a passion for animals in need and quickly developed into something way bigger then anybody could have forseen.

Who We Are:

The Domestic Carnivore is a safe haven for dogs and cats in need of either long term medical attention and/or psychological rehabilitation or in need of re-homing after successfully undergoing a medical check and all the behavior checks.

It is of outmost importance to us that we find the right match for a forever home, which is why all potential adopters have to go through our adoption process. About the Founders

The Domestic Carnivore iis run since 2001 by Sophie and Robert Hausner, a husband and wife team dedicated to helping the ones in need. They share their 2.500sqf house and about 54 acres of land with all their animals (To read about their background with animals please click on their names!)

The Domestic Carnivore is located 1 hour north of Belleville/Ontario/Canada and 2 hours East of Toronto, Canada!
